16 Apr Participants needed for Heritage Days Bed Race June 18
The cash prizes for the Heritage Days Bed Race, scheduled for Saturday evening, June 18, have been announced. The first place winner of the Heritage Days Bed Race will receive $500; second place, $200; third place, $100 and the People’s Choice Award is to be determined. The race is a double elimination event. The Heritage Days Bed Race will take place after the Hot Air Balloon Launch at Huntington North High School.
Entry forms are available at the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce office, 305 Warren Street, or online at www.huntingtonheritagedays.com. Entry forms along with the $25 entry fee can be mailed or brought to Juergens Hardware, 2850 N. Jefferson Street. Checks should be made payable to The Huntington County Chamber of Commerce. No professional race beds will be permitted in the race. Beds and racers will need to be registered at 6 p.m. on June 18, the race will follow after the hot air balloon launch.

The theme of Heritage Days for 2016 is Indiana Celebrating 200 Years and Pathfinder Services is the official sponsor.
The Huntington County Disaster Team Car Show will take place at Huntington North High School from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. also on June 18. Food from various organizations will be available for purchase.
